Project Based Learning

Using Multiple Intelligences in Project-base learning. http://pblchecklist.4teachers.org/intell.shtml

This article has great advice for incorporating multiple intelligences into PBL. As we are all aware by now each student learns differently and by incorporating tasks from different intelligences we are allowing all learners to benefit from the task. the article also mentions that we should allow students to be part of the planning process of the project. By allowing them to be a part of the process we are engaging them in the project and motivating them to learn. I think allowing students to help design the project is a great idea I know I would be more motivated to complete a project if I had input into what was being accomplished.

I think PBL is a great concept that allows students to learn by doing. Students tend to retain more information when they have a hands on task to complete.

Since my teachable area is Art, PBL is something that is integrally incorporated into my curriculum. Art is a hands on class where students learn by creating works of art that demonstrate the different techniques they are learning.
